The Madness of the Crowd...

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude that we feel for the outpouring of horns and voices we got to experience at our debut performances this year. Truly our thanks are not enough, but as an attempt, here's a minor peek behind the curtain in the moments surrounding those shows. Aces High Bar and Saloon, 2/10/24

This one was - in all honesty - maybe the biggest show of this band's short tenure. We knew that if we made it through this show - the rest would go great. We were able to rehearse with one another for the first time 2 days before this show and only practiced twice in the same room before this. This isn't to say we don't practice - but with us being entirely remote and isolated from one another - our practice at home involves a lot of click tracks. So pulling this one off felt like doing an Olympic High Dive into a pool, without knowing how to swim. We played the album in full (though the audience did not know it at the time) and the EP.

Hell's Heroes, 3/22/24

This was the show where the hard work really paid off. The album had come out only seven days prior and we were worried that it wasn't enough time for anyone to listen to the album and that no one would show up.

We were wrong.

You packed the house. Not only that, we got chills the moment we heard you singing the words to Wings of Vengeance back to us - after that, it was over. We fed off your energy for 35 glorious minutes. Horns high, y'all left a hell of an impression. And we cannot wait to return to Hell's Heroes. Keep It True XXIV, 4/26/24

Now this one is very special. The first time Leeland left the U.S. was to play Keep It True many moons ago, and so too, it was only fitting that the first time Austin left the states was to play Keep It True. The energy is so unique at this festival that when you experience it once, you immediately understand why people fly from all around the world just to be here in this beautiful, unassuming German village. We knew we could pull it off musically, and we were no longer worried about whether you knew the words - we were just worried that your hangovers would keep you from getting to the venue for our daytime slot. Wrong again.

Once again, you did not disappoint, showing up for an early afternoon slot - hangovers and all - and shared your energy and passion. Brothers and Sisters from around the world - 2000+ strong - Swearing the Oath in unison. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to have shared this moment with you and we cannot wait to return to this beautiful place to play for these incredible voices. So even though it doesn't begin to cover our gratitude, for lack of a better word, Thank you. To the thousands of you who showed up for these events and let us share a moment in time with you. It's the honor of a lifetime and we don't take it for granted. We can't wait to get back in front of you and to share all the amazing things we've been working on with you. Until then, stay mad. Swear the Oath -SO
